Joe Donnelly Tournament: This year’s running of our annual Joe Donnelly Memorial U12 Hurling Tournament will take place this Saturday morning in St Flannan’s Park. Moneygall, Newport, Shinrone and Boherlahan will be taking part.  All support is welcome and refreshments will be available on the day.

Intermediate: Best of luck to our players and management team who will take on Ballinahinch in the North Intermediate Final on Sunday evening. The final will take place in Templederry at 6pm.

Junior: We will play Ballinahinch in our next group match in the north championship this Saturday evening in St Flannan’s Park at 7pm.

Minor: Our minor hurlers will play Borrisokane in the north semi final. This match is fixed for Thursday 31st August in Cloughjordan.

Under 16: Our U16 hurlers beat Newport by 2-13 to 3-9 last week to finish the round robin stage of the championship in second place. We will now play Silvermines in the semi finals on Monday 4th September in Moneygall.

Juvenile Plates: The U13 and U11 Plate competitions are expected to get underway this week. Details will appear on our club facebook page when known.

Under 8: Our U8s travelled to Cloughjordan last Thursday evening for a hurling blitz with Kilruane and Kiladangan also taking part. We settled well after a slow start in the heavy showers, and played very well against three good Kilruane teams.  Everyone got lots of game time and competed for every ball. Many thanks to Kilruane for hosting and for the hospitality afterwards.

Under 6: Our U6 boys played Borrisokane last Tuesday evening in Borrisokane. We had a team of ten players and everyone participated very well, pulling, striking and blocking with sheer determination. Thanks to Borrisokane for hosting.

All Ireland Champion:
Comhghairdeas Cathal Greene who won the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil Melodeon (Age 12-15) title in Ennis at the weekend. Well done also to all the girls and boys who represented our parish so well at the National Community Games Finals in Abbotstown on Saturday and Sunday last.

Lotto: Our jackpot has now reached €4550. You can buy your tickets for just €2 each through the Club Lotto section of our website. Many thanks to all our lotto players and promoters for your continued support.
