Minor: Moneygall/Clonakenny will play Newport in the North Minor A Football Final this Wednesday evening in Toomevara at 7pm. Best of luck to the players and management in the final.

Senior: Our senior team were beaten by Moycarkey Borris by 1-19 to 2-9 in the County Championship on Sunday last. Our next match will be against Burgess in the North Championship, expected to be on the weekend of May 29th.


Junior: Our junior hurlers will play Newport in our final group match on Wednesday 18th May. This match will be played in Newport at 7.30pm.

Challenge Matches: Our Under 16s had two hurling practice matches in the last week. Last Wednesday we played Killavilla/Ballyskenagh, and we were then due to play Kinnitty/Lusmagh on Monday evening in Kinnitty.
Our Under 14s are also getting a good run of practice matches recently, in preparation for the north championship and next month’s Féile na nGael Tournament. Last Thursday night we played Monaleen in Moneygall.


Under 12: We played Borris/Kilcotton in a challenge game last Saturday afternoon in Kilcotton. Training continues on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm. The championship starts at the end of May.

Under 10: Well done to our U10 hurlers who travelled to Toomevara for a blitz last Saturday morning and put in three very good performances, recording three wins. Training continues on Tuesdays at 6.30pm.

Juveniles: Training continues for our Under 8s on Tuesdays at 6.30pm. Our Under 6 Little All Stars continue to meet on Wednesdays at 6.30pm. New members are always welcome.

Féile na nGael: Moneygall/Clonakenny will host Carrickmacross of Monaghan for this year’s Féile na nGael Tournament from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th June. Our three group matches will all be played in Moneygall, starting with two games against a Cork team and Loughmore Castleiney on the evening of Friday 17th, and then against Carrickmacross on the morning of Saturday 18th.

Féile Fundraiser: We are currently holding a raffle fundraiser for our Féile team. For just €2 per entry you can win the following: First prize – Two tickets to this year’s All Ireland Final; Second prize – Meal for two in Fiacrí House; Third prize – A county jersey. Tickets are now on sale and are being sold by our Féile panel and other club members. Thank you for your support.

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: The 2016/2017 draw gets underway this month. Existing members have been receiving their receipts for the previous draw in recent weeks. New members are always welcome, and you can enter the 12 monthly draws for €100. There are cars and holidays to be won every month, and remember €50 of each entry is retained by our club. Many thanks to all our draw members for your support, it is very much appreciated.
