News Update 6/7/15

Junior: Our junior team were beaten by Portroe by 1-17 to 1-9 in the first round of the Junior B north championship last Saturday.  We await fixture details for our next group match against Borrisokane.

Minor: Well done to the Moneygall/Clonakenny team who beat Templederry in the north championship last Thursday night.  Our next match will be against Silvermines in Dolla this Wednesday evening at 7.30pm.

Under 16: We were beaten by Borris-Ileigh by 0-8 to 0-6 in our first north championship match last week.  We were due to play Nenagh Eire Og in Round 2 this evening (Monday), and will play Kilruane in Moneygall next Monday, 13th July.

Under 14: Our U14 team lost out to Newport Gaels by 6-11 to 4-11 last Wednesday night.  We now play Templederry this Wednesday at 7pm in St Flannan’s Park.

Under 12: Our two U12 teams both recorded wins over Templederry last Thursday evening.  We have a double-header at home this Friday evening, against Lorrha in Group B and against Kildangan in Group D.  First match starts at 6.30pm.

Under 10/8/6:  Training continues for our U10s and U8s on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm.  We have a great group of over 40 children in the Little All-Stars U6 Nursery this year.  Training continues for this group on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm.

Juvenile News: All support is welcome at all our juvenile games.  You can follow our teams’ progress in the Match Results section of this site and on our facebook page, where all match results are posted as they are known.

Reunion Trip:  To celebrate the achievements of the 1975/76 senior team, a two-night trip to the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill has been organised for Tuesday 6th to Thursday 8th October.  Two nights B&B and a group dinner will cost €150 for a single room, or €120 each per person sharing.
Deposits of €50 can now be paid to Pat Sheedy or Seamus Ryan, to book your place.  The trip is open to everyone, so all are welcome.
