Darby Collison: On Thursday 20th October we will hold an event in the Séamus Ó Riain Centre to mark the 100th Anniversary of Darby Collison’s All Ireland success with Tipperary in 1916. Proceedings will get underway at 8pm, and a commemorative display will be unveiled. All members of the community are invited to attend.

Senior: Our senior team were beaten by Silvermines by 1-21 to 2-13 in the relegation playoffs on Sunday last. This result means that we drop to the intermediate grade for 2017. We have one playoff fixture remaining against Moyne Templetuohy.

Under 21: Moneygall/Clonakenny will play our first match of the north championship against Ballina this Sunday at 12 noon in Dolla. Roscrea are the third team in our group.

Black & Reds: Noel Whyte’s President’s Prize has been refixed for Roscrea G.G.  on Saturday 22nd October from 12 noon until 1.30pm. After the President’s Prize we will have a celebration dinner at 5.30pm to mark the society’s 25th Anniversary. Golf and dinner will cost €30, or dinner only for €20. Names for the dinner must be given to Tom Byrne or Paddy Bergin by Wednesday 19th October.
