Féile na nGael 2016

posted 22 Jun 2016, 15:26 by Moneygall GAA
Well done to our Under 14 team and coaches who provided us with a great weekend of hurling with their performances in Féile na nGael on Friday and Saturday last. The team got the best out of themselves and recorded four great wins against Lisgoold (Cork), Loughmore, Carrickmacross (Monaghan) and Newport in the group stages and quarter final, before losing out in the semi final to Sylane (Galway), who went on to win the final.

On behalf of Moneygall GAA and Clonakenny GAA thanks to the Carrickmacross players, coaches, families and supporters. Thanks to all our host families, and to all our parents and club members who catered so well for everyone in the centre and at the BBQ.

Thanks to all our linesmen, umpires and scoreboard keepers, and to those who parked cars and minded changing rooms. Thanks to all who helped during the week in preparing the centre and field, especially to Michael Sullivan for preparing the pitch so well.

Thanks to Sandra Quinlan for photography, to our senior goalkeeper Ciaran Quinlan, to our Féile Coordinator Eugene Ryan, to Club Chairman Pat Sheedy and to the committee members. Thanks to all our players and coaches who put in such a great effort and finally thanks to everyone who supported both Moneygall/Clonakenny and Carrickmacross so well and helped out in any way.
