First Nine – Denis Dwyer

Philip Byrne had glorious weather and 37 players for his big day in Thurles G.C.  Our youngest player Dylan Maher won his first major with a magnificent round.  He hits the ball out of sight.  Well done to Philip on a great year and a beautiful prize.

At a time when many societies are struggling we now have 49 members.  Next year we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary and we hope to have a great programme of events.

The shocks continue in the Honeymount Cup.  Tom Byrne and Fabian Jones were beaten recently.  A new name will appear on the cup this year.  The final must be played before 1st October.

Congratulations to Kevin McCormack (Senior) on being a runaway winner of Golfer of the Year.  It was his first year as a member of our society.  Congratulations also to Kevin Junior who recently won an Open Juvenile Competition in Tullamore G.C.
