Our senior hurlers were beaten by Drom Inch by 1-14 to 2-7 in round two of the county championship in Borrisoleigh on Sunday.  The sides were level at half time, 1-5 each, with Eoghan Ryan scoring Moneygall's goal in the opening minutes after a good move involving Ger Kirwan and Paddy Fanning.

Drom Inch opened up a 1-8 to 1-5 lead but a goal from Ger Kirwan levelled matters again.  The teams were level again with five minutes of normal time left, 2-7 to 1-10.  However two crucial saves from Damien Young prevented further Moneygall goals and Drom Inch finished stronger, scoring four points without reply to advance to round three.

Team: Ciaran Quinlan; Eoin Troy, Sean Ryan, Ger Ryan; Mike Ryan, Phil Fanning, Pajo Troy; Brendan Toohey, Michael Bergin; Willie Greene, Conor Ryan, Jody Troy; Eoghan Ryan, Paddy Fanning, Ger Kirwan.
