Clonakenny/Moneygall have qualified for the Mid Minor B Hurling Final following a 4-11 to 2-14 semi final win over Moyne Templetuohy Og in Templemore on Sunday morning.

Kevin Powell, Ciaran Quinlan, Tomas Duane, Liam Carroll and Aidan Fanning started in defence, Sean Fogarty and Cian Murray lined out at midfield, and the forward line included Eoin Greene, Patrick Egan, Anthony Devereux and Paddy Devereux.  Moyne Templetuohy Og had two of Tipperary's All Ireland winning minor team in their line-up, Tomas Hamill at centre back and Paul Maher at full forward.

Clonakenny/Moneygall opened the scoring with a goal from Eoin Greene, and Ciaran Quinlan added a second from a penalty midway through the half.  We led by a point at half-time, 2-5 to 1-7.  We then got a great start to the second half with two more goals from Patrick Egan and John Joe Ryan.  But Moyne Templetuohy Og kept in touch throughout the second half, and helped by a goal with five minutes left the gap was down to two points with time running out.  A point from a free with the last puck of the game gave Clonakenny/Moneygall victory by 4-11 to 2-14.

We will now meet JK Brackens in the final.  Details of this fixture will appear on the website once known.

Scorers: John Joe Ryan 1-7 (0-5 frees), Patrick Egan 1-2, Eoin Greene and Ciaran Quinlan (penalty) 1-0 each, Anthony Devereux 0-2.
