Our senior hurlers were beaten by Killenaule by 3-14 to 0-14 in the county league in St. Flannan's Park on Saturday evening.  Moneygall were missing Eoin Troy, Jody Troy and Tommy Devereux from the team beaten by Roscrea in the championship last week, in addition to Paddy Fanning and Eoin Greene.  The Killenaule team included former Tipperary panelists Declan Fanning, Pat Kerwick and goalkeeper Gerry Kennedy.

In a match that featured a lot of wides from both sides Moneygall had led by two points at half time (0-10 to 1-5), but Killenaule made wing advantage count in the second half and their ability to create and take goal chances was the main difference between the teams.

Moneygall cannot now reach the knockout stages of the competition and our last match of the league will be against Aherlow.

Team: Ciaran Quinlan; Ger Ryan, Sean Ryan, Pajo Troy; Diarmuid Kennedy, Mike Ryan, Phil Fanning; Brendan Toohey, Michael Bergin; Willie Greene, Conor Ryan, Eamonn McCormack; Eoghan Ryan, Ger Kirwan, Padhraic Greene. Subs: Cathal Kennedy for Eoghan Ryan, Patrick Devereux for Phil Fanning.
