Drom Inch claimed the Mid Minor B Football title when they beat Clonakenny/Moneygall by 2-9 to 0-6 in Killea on Wednesday evening.  Clonakenny/Moneygall opened the scoring when Anthony Devereux pointed a long-range free after a foul on Ciaran Quinlan.  After an evenly-balanced opening period the teams were level at 0-2 each, however Drom Inch then dominated possession for the remainder of the half and led by 0-5 to 0-3 at half time.  The lead may have been bigger if not for some wasteful shooting.

Drom Inch added three points early in the second half and a 40th minute goal put them eight points up.  But they would not score again for 20 minutes, and Clonakenny/Moneygall narrowed the gap with two frees from Ciaran Quinlan and a 45 from Anthony Devereux.  However the scores dried up and a fine goal-bound effort from Ciaran Quinlan was well saved by the goalkeeper to maintain the five point gap.  Drom Inch sealed their win with a goal and a point in injury time to give themselves a 2-9 to 0-6 victory.
