The Black & Red Golf Society had a fine entry and lovely weather for Tom Byrne’s Captain’s Prize held at Roscrea Golf Club recently.  The results of the outing were:

1st - Clodagh Jones 40pts;
2nd - Paddy Byrne 38pts;
3rd - Liam Maher 37pts;
Past Captain - Pat Sheedy 36pts;
1st Nine - Rita Nagle;
2nd Nine - Fabian Jones;
Longest Drive - Michael Parlon;
Nearest Pin - Paddy Bergin.

Golfer of the Year - Clodagh Jones was an easy winner of the Golfer of the Year.  In eighteen months her handicap has tumbled from 36 to 12, and in August she was a substitute on the Munster Girls’ team that won the Interprovincial title at Portarlington Golf Club.  Clodagh has a huge future in the game.  Congratulations to her and to her parents, Fabian and Breda.

Honeymount Cup - The following is the draw for the semi finals of the Honeymount Cup:
Tom Byrne V Tom Hassett / John Paul Jones; Paddy Byrne V Pat Sheedy.
