Under 12:
Hard luck to our U12 footballers who were beaten in the county semi final by Moyne Templetuohy on a 5-3 to 2-4 scoreline last week. We led by a point at half time and started the second half strongly. But two quick goals for Moyne Templetuohy then turned the game on its head, and they held their lead to the finish. Great credit is due to this group of players on their north title win and to the mentors Noel Ryan, Jim Hoolan, Micheal Carey and Ray Fitzpatrick. Our focus now switches codes, and we look forward to a long summer of hurling ahead.

Second Field: Last Wednesday evening marked a significant event for our club, when contracts for the development of our second playing field were officially signed in our clubhouse. With the development works due to begin next week, the first sod was also turned on our second field in a short ceremony. The formalities were jointly performed by club trustee Paddy Connors, and Andrew Hoolan, captain of our recent North-title winning Under 12 football team. There was a large crowd in attendance, including all members of the U12 panel and their parents.
We now look forward to the next stage of the development, as we continue the process of providing improved facilities for our players of the future.

Cúl Camp: This year’s Cúl Camp will run from Monday 24th to Friday 28th July. Registration will cost €60 for one child, €50 for a second child and €40 for any third or subsequent child. As usual the fee will include a playing kit and gear bag. The Camp is open to children who have completed one year in primary school up to 13 years old.
