Intermediate: Hard luck to the intermediate hurlers who were knocked out of the county championship by Moyne Templetuohy at the quarter final stage in Dr Morris Park last Wednesday night. In miserable conditions Moyne Templetuohy made the stronger start in the first 20 minutes, and meant that Moneygall were chasing the game throughout.

A big thanks to our management team of Tom Toohey, John Doughan, Kevin McCormack and Eamonn Toohey for all their work throughout the year, and also to our backroom team of Michael Sullivan, Diarmuid Maher, Philip Sutton, Ollie Hayes and Fiona Connolly for their all help at training and on matchdays.

Under 11: We played two matches in the U11 Plate last week, beating Nenagh on Monday night, then losing to Roscrea by 3-4 to 2-6 on Friday evening.

A special thanks to John Paul O'Meara of The Logo Factory, Nenagh, who has kindly sponsored a set of jerseys for this group, and was in attendance at the event to present the jerseys to our club.

Good News: It was a historic night in Shelbourne Park last Saturday night for the Guilfoyle family of Ballingrawn, when their dog Good News cruised to victory in the Irish Greyhound Derby in some style. To the trainer Paddy, owner Sandra and all the family we extend huge congratulations on this superb achievement.

Under 16: Hard luck to our hurlers who lost out to Ballina in the North U16B Final on Saturday afternoon. We are very proud of the lads for putting in such effort this year and digging deep on more than one occasion to reach the North Final.

We have a small group of U16's and relied heavily on our u14 players all through the year. It's not always easy when two clubs amalgamate but this group worked well together and earned their place in the final.

Thanks to every one of the players and mentors for all the work they put in. A special thanks to Kevin Maher who coached the lads this year and a was great influence on the players. His experience was very valuable to the group. We wish Ballina the best of luck in the county series and we look forward to next season.

Under 10: Our U10 team played in the Mick Prior Hurling Tournament in Borrisoleigh on Saturday morning. In the league section of the competition we defeated Loughmore and Moycarkey and were narrowly defeated by Holycross. This qualified us for the shield final, where we overcame JK Brackens.  Many thanks to Borris-Ileigh GAA for a great tournament, and well done to all our players and coaches.

Under 8: Well done to our U8s who travelled to Dr Morris Park Thurles last Friday evening for a hurling blitz. We played against Upperchurch, Moyne and Moycarkey in three very competitive games. It was a very enjoyable evening of hurling which was finished under the lights.

Little All Stars: On Saturday morning 13 of our U6 boys and girls travelled to Ballyskenagh. We had two teams with both teams playing well. A special thanks to Ballyskenagh for having us, and also to our own parents and coaches.
